A Chronicle Depicting the Lateness of the Hour

I have a missionary friend who ministers to both Arabs and Jews in the Middle East who, for purposes of protection, I probably should not name.

She has some interesting thoughts about the famous "wrestling match" between Jacob (whose name was changed to Israel) and the Angel. She says it is a picture of modern Israel's struggle. Israel's adversary is the Lord, and the story is being replayed in our generation.

Jacob was fearful that his brother Esau would massacre his wives and children, and he sent gifts to appease him. Israel is still trying to appease the animosity of its Arab brothers -- the descendents of Esau and Ishmael.

Genesis 32:24 says, "And Jacob was left ALONE, and a Man wrestled with him until daybrake" (the "Man" is considered the theophany, or preincarnate Christ). Israel is increasingly isolated and ALONE among the nations. But to be stripped of mere human consolation is God's way. When God wants to deal with us, He gets us ALONE. She says that Yeshua (Jesus) and Israel will continue to wrestle until the spirit of revelation dawns upon them.

Jacob's wrenched hip speaks of brokenness. The Lord is wrenching away Israel's self-confidence. Eventually Israel will be broken, subservient to God's will, as prophesied by Zechariah (12); then, according to Zechariah, mercy shall come as they mourn for Him, and as they see the One whom they have pierced.

U.S. warns about weapons of mass destruction

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- U.S. Secretary of Defense William Cohen on Tuesday again warned about the danger of Iraq's chemical and biological weapons program, but emphasized that the problem was much bigger since "more than 25 countries have or may be developing" weapons of mass destruction and the means to deliver them.

The report concludes that the threat from chemical, biological and nuclear weapons continues to grow, as does the possibility that chemical or biological weapons may be used by terrorist groups.

Children Of The Most High,

Awaken this hour unto Me; do not allow slumber and sleep to come upon you, for I proclaim unto you this very day that there are but a very short few seconds of time left until I come to take My Church from the earth.

My Judgement is about to take place, where I shall judge the earth for the open sin that it has allowed itself to partake of; for much blood is upon the hands of many leaders of the nations, and they shall be held accountable for the works of evil that they have done. As My Judgement falls, shall The Glory Of God rest upon My People, and they shall be kept in My Righteousness, and shall reap My Blessing, as I will protect them in the midst of My Judgement.

There are so many that do not believe that My Coming In The Clouds is soon to take place, and they that think as these shall be caught unawares, for I will come as a thief in the night, but those who seek My Face and look for My Coming shall prepare, and shall be prepared for what is to come, and what I say unto you is not far away as many think.

Have I not said unto you that the generation that would behold the budding of The Fig Tree would not pass until all be fulfilled? For this generation shall behold Their Great God And King as He steps upon the clouds; to hear The Trump Of God Sound, and so shall the graves be opened, and The Dead In Christ Shall first rise, and then they which remain shall be caught away. Again, I say unto you, that what I speak of is nigh at hand.

Be about My Father's Business, My People, declare The Good News unto the hurting and dying; go unto the orphan and the widow, the lonely and the one who has no hope to take their next breath, and tell them that The Son Of Man is even at the very doorstep.

May The Grace Of God rest upon you in this hour, and may you continue to be filled with My Holy Spirit, may The Peace Of God Which Passes All Understanding renew your hearts; may The Wisdom Of God be in you, and may you speak words of life and peace, to a dying world that had no life or peace within them.

Surely do I Come quickly, and as the short few days ahead of you come to their climactic end, may you know Me in The Beauty Of My Holiness, may you be transformed by the renewing of your minds, what is the perfect and acceptable Will Of God.

I lay My Hand upon you this day, and I open your eyes of understanding to know of what I do in these final few seconds.

I love you with a love which has no limitations, and I bless you and blow The Wind Of My Spirit upon you, to rest with you and in you, to accomplish all that I have called you to do, To The Glory And The Honor Of My Name.

To My American cousins in Christ,

It's frigidly cold here this morning. My cell is unheated and I cannot feel my legs. This is a blessing. Today I will be beaten and tortured before breakfast and I will not feel the pain as much. Numbness from the cold makes the tortures bearable. I will have to remember to scream on que so as not to upset the guards. I wonder if they are as bored with my cries as I am with their beatings? In prison, everything becomes routine, even torture.

I prayed for you again. I have much time on my hands here and thankfully no blood. I once heard a rumor that the churches in America each had a complete Bible of their very own. Could such a thing be true? Once at a house church meeting, just before my last arrest - how many years has it been? - I actually held a page of Scripture in my own hands and was allowed to read it to the church. I myself was holding the Word of God. I knew then that I was favored of the Lord. Such a great honor.

In my dream today I went to Heaven again and one of the Splendid Ones spoke with me about you. He showed me the great Russian bear - not at all dead as you have supposed - hibernating, rejuvenating, readying to attack you. Her sharp paws were unsheathed ready to slice and maul you into submission.

"Why do they disarm? " I asked.

The Splendid One replied, "They are at ease in Zion but soon will be at ease no more."

"I do not understand," I replied a bit confused.

"Many saints of the West have become wealthy and do not know that they are really wretched and poor and miserable and blind and naked. They usually equate the blessing of God with having money. They do not know of His true riches," said the glorious being.

Then Jesus Himself entered the place where we were talking. All bowed low and worshipped but I wept bitterly. Though He knew the answer, he asked me why I wept so. "Lord," I said, "Your sufferings only lasted a few days and mine have gone on for years. I have suffered much more than you. Why?"

With a great compassion, He seemed to look right through me (I felt him do this). He said, "Son, I have allowed you to sip suffering in small swallows so that your faith would not fail. I swallowed the dregs of the poison of sin whole. It was a torture you could never understand and it would have undone you. You have drank of my cup. Be patient a while longer."

I begged his forgiveness. His hand raised only to wipe my tears away and he held me close in understanding. I breathed in the perfume of His grace which seemed to fill me with new Life.

I awoke.

My dear cousins, you are not prepared for the sufferings to come. Lose this world now and let its claims on you fall away. If you gain Christ you will lose nothing important.

Not long ago I saw my reflection for the first time in years from a medicine chest in the infirmary. My teeth have rotted and I look decayed. My once handsome face is etched with pain. I look like a corpse straining to draw breath. The doctor gave me hot water to drink for my illness - we have no medicines here. It helped a little.

I felt so sad for myself and was glad my mother was dead. My condition would have killed her. As I headed back to my cell, the Holy Spirit said, "Don't despair. I will show you as you look to me."

I suddenly saw my image reflected in the ice. The bumps of the icicles took the lines away and I looked young and alive again. The best part was the snow. It gave the impression that I was dressed in a white robe of righteousness like the saints in heaven wear. It was delightful!

My smiles shock the guards. I can only explain that He is with me.

Dear American cousins, we are praying for you so that when night crashes on your land, and it soon will, your faith will not fail. Put the Cross back in your Gospel preaching and prepare your people to carry it or they will fall away.

It is very cold here. I am praying for a blanket or some rags to keep warm with.

He is with me.

So it was with Noah and Sodom and Gomorrah. My faithful were prepared, but the sinful people did not want to believe these things could happen.

You, My people, are being warned as well to make ready for My Second Coming. You, also, do NOT know the day, but I am giving you the warning to prepare, for IT IS NOT FAR AWAY.

Have your souls free from sin by frequent confession and you will have no worries of when I will come.

EGYPT-PLO MILITARY COLLABORATION IMMINENT?

Military cooperation between Egypt and the Palestinian Authority has apparently begun, following a recent official visit by a Palestinian military delegation to the Egyptian army.

The PA newspaper AL-HAYAT AL-JADIDAH reported that the visit by the invited delegation included a meeting with the Egyptian chief of staff.

The Oslo Accords stipulate that the PA is forbidden from establishing an army.

ARUTZ 7 reports (Nov 18) Egypt's ambassador to the PA said a month ago that his country would offer military aid to the PA in case of a clash with Israel. Egypt signed a full peace treaty with Israel in 1979.

The United States has issued a worldwide "warning" on Wednesday warning Americans abroad that they may be targeted by extremists.

The State Department notice, headed ''Worldwide Caution,'' says such ''events unfolding throughout the world'' as the crisis with Iraq, the slaughter of Western tourists in Egypt and the ''general situation in the Middle East'' have the ''cumulative potential of impacting the security of US citizens.''

United States and Britain prepared to offer concessions to Iraq

UNITED NATIONS (AP) - Responding to Russian efforts to resolve the Iraqi crisis, the United States and Britain are prepared to offer concessions to encourage Iraqi President Saddam Hussein to allow American arms inspectors back into the country.

The Security Council was to meet this morning with diplomats from several countries - France, Russia and Egypt, among others - who are expected to urge the return of non-American inspectors whom the United Nations withdrew in protest last week.

VATICAN CITY (AP) -- Fearing a new armed conflict in Iraq, Pope John Paul II on Sunday urged leaders to keep pursuing dialogue and diplomacy.

John Paul prayed that God would ``illuminate the minds and hearts of who those responsible for the destiny of peoples so that they understand that peace is the only instrument which can guarantee justice."

John Paul spoke after leading a Mass inside St. Peter's Basilica to welcome bishops from North and South America to a special, month-long gathering whose first session is Monday.

Israel: We'll not sit back if attacked by Iraq

JERUSALEM (AP) - After enduring Iraqi Scud attacks during the 1991 Persian Gulf War and agreeing not to retaliate, Israel warned Friday that it will not be so restrained with any new Iraqi strikes.

EGYPT SAYS "ME TOO!" TO ISLAM ALLIANCE

Egypt is attempting to join the Iran-Iraq-Syria alliance. Akbar al-Yom reports that Mubarak, in his recent visit to Damascus, authorized Syrian President Assadto speak about this with the Iranians.

Objections to this move have come, however, from another Iranian ally - Sudan. Sudan has its own problems with its northern neighbor Egypt, and claims that Egypt is not identified with Islam, but is rather a secular nation, who has no place in the alliance.

Aid sought as Somalia flood toll rises

JUBA RIVER VALLEY, Somalia (CNN) -- An El Nino-spawned flood disaster in south and central Somalia that has already killed hundreds of people is being worsened by new rain, blocked access to the region, food shortages and the country's unstable political climate.

At least 448 people have died and more than 150,000 have been displaced following more than a month of heavy rainfall, senior aid agency officials said on Thursday.

Rock May Have Been Mary's Rest Spot

JERUSALEM (AP) -- Israeli archaeologists said Sunday they had uncovered the rock revered by Christians as the place where the Virgin Mary rested on her way to Bethlehem.

The craggy limestone rock protrudes from the mosaic floor of the remains of a rare octagonal fifth century Byzantine church, the largest of its kind in the Holy Land.

The Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Jerusalem, Deodorus I, hailed the find Sunday as a ``great discovery with historical, religious and ethnic significance.''

Christians made pilgrimages to a rock on the Jerusalem to Bethlehem road at least 1,700 years ago, believing it was the place where the Virgin Mary rested on her way to give birth to Jesus, said Gideon Avni of Israel's Antiquities Authority.

Solar storms could put a jolt into earthly affairs

(CNN) -- Two solar storms are headed toward Earth, and when they arrive over the next few days the effects could be costly and inconvenient.

Scientists say that Tuesday's solar flare looked like a nuclear explosion. It occurred in the lower right quadrant of the sun, and was so bright it outshone the rest of the sun.

Both flares are rated Class X, the highest possible rating.

FIRST OBSERVATION OF SPACE-TIME DISTORTION BY BLACK HOLES

Astronomers using NASA's Rossi X-ray Timing Explorer (RXTE) spacecraft reported today that they have observed a black hole that is literally dragging space and time around itself as it rotates. This bizarre effect, called "frame dragging," is the first evidence to support a prediction made in 1918 using Einstein's theory of relativity.

INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER FOR THE CHURCH ON SUNDAY NOV. 16

More Christians have been martyred in the 20th century than in the previous 19 centuries combined.

The International Day of Prayer (IDOP) was initiated by the World Evangelical Fellowship (WEF), but it has earned the endorsement of Christian leaders of all types and denominations.

Please pray for your brothers and sisters under persecution around the world on November 16. Pray every day, for that matter, but especially pray that day. Fast if you can. And please spread the word!

Three-shekel receipt provides evidence of King Solomon's Temple

NEW YORK (AP) -- Talk about holding on to a receipt. A recently discovered piece of pottery recording a donation to the "House of Yahweh" may contain the oldest mention outside the Bible of King Solomon's Temple.

The 3 1/2-by-4-inch artifact is nearly 3,000 years old, dating to a time when kings sent messages inscribed on pottery.

Take time to see Me in action, see Me entreating you back to Me. I have fought with you in every manner, in every way. I will not contend with your faith any longer, for now, I release unto you, the voice of Mine Prophets. "Let me begin by introducing myself. I was raised in the Baptist church and have been a Christian for 25 years. During this time I have been involved in various Christian service: teaching Sunday School, leading youth discipleship groups, participating in mission trips, participating in prayer groups, involved in women's ministry, etc.

"Having been raised in church, I have heard Revelation taught many times and have been taught about the Rapture. My entire teaching, AND belief has always been that the entire church, the Bride of Christ, all genuine believers in Jesus, will be raptured either prior to the tribulation or certainly before the worst of the tribulation.

"Early in the morning of October 25, 1997, I had the following dream....

"I was driving home, alone in a Volkswagen van, down a country road bordered by farmland. Ahead of me on either side lining the road were large eucalyptus trees. I looked ahead of me and saw a beautiful house that sat on the right hand side of the road just before the line of eucalyptus trees started. As I was looking at the house I saw, with my peripheral vision, to the left, on the horizon, what appeared to be a eucalyptus tree that was so large it reached all the way from the horizon as far into the sky as I could see. (I could see this far because the land was very flat.) When I looked closer I saw that it wasn't a tree at all but thousands of people in white moving up into the sky. I knew it was the rapture and I was terrified. I slammed on the brakes; the van turned end over end. I remember thinking, 'I should be hurt or killed' but instead I was standing on the side of the road with my arms in the air crying out to Jesus. Then I woke up, very shaken.

"I went downstairs to ask God what the dream meant. I couldn't understand why I was not in the rapture because I know I am a Christian. God showed me that on the side of the van was written the word 'carnality.' Then He reminded me of the Parable of the Ten Virgins. He told me several things and said, 'Do not listen to Satan's whispers. There are not many days left.'"

MESSAGES VIA JOHN LEARY OCT 22-30, 1997

Jesus said: "My people, I have shown you this vision once before. My four angels are still marking the cross on My faithful at this time. This is the time in scripture where you are coming close to the time of tribulation. Those who are faithful to Me at this time will suffer, but not nearly the pain of those fuse Me. -Those unfaithful servants will suffer a living Hell of plagues on earth and an eternal punishment in Hell.

So come to Me NOW, My children, while you still have time. I will strengthen My faithful to endure all of the Evil One's temptations.

NOW is the time to prepare for the onslaught of the Tribulation.

NOW will the earth be purified of all evil.

You will find My victory just, and My Love will reward all those who come to Me in either love OR fear of the Lord's wrath."
